Appearance: A bright wine with medium-to-high intensity.

Aroma: Primary aromas of fruit and red berries underscored by notes of liquorice.

Taste: Well-balanced in the mouth, with an aftertaste that reiterates the sensations perceived in the nose.
Gastronomy Ideal with all types of meat. A good complement to pasta dishes, tapas and medium-cured cheeses.
Like all young red wines, it should be consumed within a year after being put on the market. Always keep it in a cool, dark, quiet place.
Serve cool at a temperature of 14 to 16 º C
Fermentation method De-stemmed and partially crushed, with a high proportion of full berries. 10 – 15 days maceration period with a daily over-pumping. Controlled fermentation at 24 – 28º C with autochthonous yeasts, contained in the grapes themselves.
Ageing None. Only 1 –2 months in the bottle before releasing
Vineyard Vineyards are situated between approximately 300 and 600 metres altitude. A high percentage of small plots of less than 1 ha. The owners of these plots are middle-aged and use both traditional and modern technological cultivation methods. The average age of vines is 25 years. Yield between 46-47 hl/ha.
Soil type Although Rioja is a small region, it has heterogeneous soils with a balanced structure, alluvial terrains with a harmonic composition of sand, lime and clay, rounded stones and slightly alkaline with active limestone between 7% and 15%. Little organic materials and nitrogenous substances. Low level of nutritional elements and low hydric availability during the Summer.
