D.O. TORO

Located in the province of Zamora, which is in the northwest of Castile and Léon (Spain). The area covered by the DO is in the southeastern corner of Zamora province and includes the lands known as Tierra del Vino, Valle del Guareña and Tierra de Toro. It borders on the lands known as Tierra del Pan and Tierra de Campos.

Soil: formed by sediments of sand, clays and lime-bearing puddingstone, which produce a dark lime-bearing topsoil, with fine and coarse sands.

Climate: is extreme with Atlantic influences and pretty arid. The winters are severe and the summers are short.

Grapes: eventually will include smoother or better grapes in order to create another essence from the Toro grape (Petit verdot, Syrah and Merlot) and garnacha.
White: malvasia and verdejo.

Wines: are basically malvasia, their color is something in between greenish yellow and pale yellow; on the nose could appear some rustic aspects and in the mouth has a light sour final.

Rosé are rosy with red fruit notes;  in the mouth they are fleshy and fruity.
Red has a high acid rates. When they are Jovenes present a dark cherry color with violet aspects.; on the nose they have a good intensity with notes that can remind blueberries and, in general, black fruit; in the mouth they are strong, tasty, fleshy and a good persistence.
